These impressive, large and heavy antique glass beads were made in the late 19th century in Venice and used as trading currency in Africa. There are 24 beads in total - each different and unique from the next.
The beads are loosely strung on a cord for use in your own projects or for wearing on the existing cord. Each bead is made with different techniques and all are handmade by Venetian bead artisans.

Approx 45cm in length, with single beads ranging from 2-6cm in length.
Date: Antique Circa 1890
Condition: Most beads are in very good order, with some pits and cracks reflecting age and use.
