A large and highly ornate vintage pair of Dendritic agate earrings with filigree silver flowers and details, along with typical Russian lever-back fittings.
Curator’s Note
These striking earrings comprise of large single slices of dendritic agate with moss-like inclusions. The agates were mined from the Ural Mountains and are of the highest quality. The Russian silver framed and sittings are ornately cast and beautifully sturdy and well-made. I purchased these from a Ukrainian dealer who was emotional selling them to me as her father had gifted them to her in the 1980s.
Details: Date: Vintage earrings circa 1950-1980
Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked with the Russian five pointed star, hammer and sickle symbol used during the above period. Followed by ‘875’ for Russian silver purity.
Size and weight: 5cm by 3.5cm -

Condition: Excellent vintage condition - the silver has oxidised and looks beautiful but can be polished to look like new if required.
